The group stages begin on September 24, with six teams – Japan, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Oman and Nepal – battling for four quarter-final spots. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh go straight into the quarter-finals as the highest-seeded Full Member teams based on ICC rankings.

The tournament gets underway with hosts Japan taking on Afghanistan at Korogi Athletic Park in Nisshin, Aichi, Nagoya. All matches will be played at the venue, which has boundaries of around 65 meters on either side, meaning we could be in for plenty of runs and sixes. The recently concluded women's competition, which India won, saw 56 sixes across just eight matches.
